Spring
Visit in the Spring when the river ice is breaking up and bald eagles sun themselves on ice floes rafting downstream. The town comes to life with the Rivertown Art Fair and the Farmers Market, which sets up on Saturday mornings. Summer
The summer months often cause the town to burst at its seams with Music on the Waterfront and Lumberjack Days. Shops overflow with rare and unusual goods.
Fall
In Autumn, the oak and maple trees are ablaze with color and the bird migrations are in full swing. Spend a weekend at the Fine Art and Jazz Festival, and take a cruise upriver on the charter excursion boats.
