Spring
Visit in the Spring when the river ice is breaking up and bald eagles sun themselves on ice floes rafting downstream. The town comes to life with the Rivertown Art Fair and the Farmer’s Market, which sets up on Saturday mornings. Celebrate life with a hot air balloon ride through the crisp, clean Minnesota sky.Stillwater is known for its delightful shops, quality antique dealers and fine restaurants. Special events are scheduled year-round. Widely known as a locale for rare and antiquarian books, Stillwater is a great place to hunt for that rare volume.
Summer
The summer months often cause the town to burst at its seams with Music on the Waterfront and Lumberjack Days. Shops overflow with rare and unusual goods.
Fall
 In Autumn, the oak and maple trees are ablaze with color and the bird migrations are in full swing. Spend a weekend at the Fine Art and Jazz Festival, and take a cruise upriver on the charter excursion boats. Wander over to the vineyards to sample the year’s harvest or make a trek to the apple orchards.
Winter
As cold settles in and Winter falls upon Stillwater, shops twinkle with myriad lights. Sled down Chillacoot Hill, stop for tea at the Warden’s House, and do your holiday shopping during our Victorian Holiday events.
